 | Kauther Khan is a self-taught scholar and activist that doesn't take those titles well when you address him as such. A humble servant leader and community organizer in Los Angeles, he has helped found one of the most successful youth-based organizations called Yaseen Educational Foundation. He is a regular lecturer to the youth about a variety of topics, religious, leadership-type and spiritual. Kauther has offered AMYNA strategic direction, especially in developing their mission and vision as an organization. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
|  | Muhammad Habash is a graduate from the University of Toronto-Mississauga and the founder and architect of the Thaqalayn Muslim Association (TMA), which currently has of 10 student chapters in Canada and the United States. Brother Muhammad has been an inspiration for many students in the US and Canada, encouraging activists to get involved on their campuses, become self-determined, and bridge the religious and cultural divides among different groups. In addition, Muhammad has been a driving force behind many AMYNA initiatives, including the RISE leadership retreats. Muhammad currently resides in Toronto, Canada. |  | Jamal Jouney is a Lebanese American born and raised in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. He has been an active member of the Muslim and Arab American communities in Dearborn since he was 18 years old. Most notably, he was one of the founding members of the Young Muslim Association (YMA) at the Islamic Center of America, which is now one of the most vibrant youth groups in North America. He was also instrumental in founding the AMYNA initiative. Jamal has also been very active in other community organizations, such as ADC and various campus organizations. He holds a Masters degree in biological science and teaches biology part-time at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn. Jamal is also completing a graduate degree in Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Michigan. In his spare time, he enjoys creative writing, playing the piano, and is an avid aviation hobbyist. |  | Mohammad Ali Naquvi was born in the UK and lived all over Europe as a child. He immigrated to the US in 1985 and lived in various cities across the nation doing things as diverse as academic neuroscience research, business development, teaching math & reading in a low-income area and freelance writing. He has completed a Bachelor’s in English, a Master’s in Biology and is now pursuing a Master’s in Bioethics while working as a Medical Editor in Jersey City, NJ. Mohammad Ali is most concerned with the civic participation and political action of American Muslims and feels a deep sense of connection with Muslims all over the world. He is motivated by his family, his friends and his faith. Brother Mohammad has been a voice of reason for AMYNA, and helped put together 2005 AMYNA conference programming. |
