“RISE” is an advocacy campaign issued by the Allied Muslim Youth of North America (AMYNA) in January 2007. As part of its stated mission, RISE advocates for stronger leadership among young Muslims in North America. It is envisioned that stronger leadership among sincere young Muslim activists at the grassroots will inevitably bring positive change to society.

The RISE campaign will oversee several ambitious endeavors to strengthen leadership among young Muslims. The first aspect of this campaign will include comprehensive leadership training programs to be held across the U.S. and Canada. These programs will be in the form of seminars or retreats (RISE Retreats). Another component will be to develop material specific to leadership and youth activism to be published periodically online. The last component of this campaign is to heighten awareness in our communities about the need for investing in young Muslims as the future leaders of our Ummah.

Partnership: Your group will run and plan the program with strategic help from AMYNA. This allows for individual communities to develop programming that is relevant to their constituency while AMYNA provides content for the leadership training aspects of the program. Content is negotiable; our main goal is to help provide for an ultimate leadership training experience catered to your community!
